India and Pakistan squads for Asia cup-2022

India and Pakistan are the first two teams, who announced their squads for the Asia cup, which will take place in UAE in shorter format starting from 27th August and six teams will compete in this tournament. Asia cup will be quite helpful for the teams and the players to prepare themselves for the T20 world cup. 

Indian squad:

Rohit Sharma(cap), KL Rahul(vc), Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant, Deepak Hooda, Dinesh Karthik, Bhuvneshvar Kumar, Avesh Khan, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal, Ravi Bishnoi and Arshdeep Singh.

Standby:

Shreyas Iyer, Axar Patel, Deepak Chahar.

Jasprit Bumrah will miss the tournament because of back injury whereas Shami's exclusion is a bit surprising.

Pakistan squad:

Babar Azam(cap), Mohammad Rizwan, Fakhar Zaman, Haider Ali, Shadab Khan, Shaheen Shah Afridi,

Naseem Shah, Mohammad Wasim Jnr, Mohammad Nawaz, Asif Ali, Iftikhar Ahmed, Shahnawaz Dahini, Khushdil Shah, Usman Quadir and Haris Rauf.
