New teams, new champions, Gujarat won the trophy of 2022

In the final match of the 2022 IPL season, Gujarat beat Rajsthan and won their first title in their first season. They showed complete dominance with bat and bowl and clinch the trophy.

1st innings:

Rajasthan won the toss and opted to bat first and they started well by scoring 44 runs in powerplay. Jaiswal fell first and just after him, Pandya got Samson's wicket. Buttler made 39 and tried to stay on crease but on the other end, wickets were falling. Captain of Gujarat led from the front by taking 3 crucial wickets and giving only 17 runs. Rashid Khan also was economical and Rajasthan made only 130 in final of IPL 2022.

2nd innings:

Gujarat got bad start as they lost early wickets of Saha and Wade but Shubhman played brilliantly. He scored 45 and got help from Hardik and Miller. Pandya made 34 before quick knock of 32 runs by Miller. Apart from Chahal and Boult, all bowlers of Rajasthan were expensive. The score wasn't enough in actual and they fell short from the title. Pandya became man of the match and Buttler won the prize of player of the series.
