Another loss for Dhoni's team, almost end of season for CSK.

In the 49th match of IPL, Bangalore won against Chennai. It was do or die for Chennai and they were unable to survive.

1st innings :

Dhoni won the toss and asked Duplesis to bat first. Bangalore started slow but didn't lose wicket. In the 8th over, Faf gave catch to Jadeja in the over of Moeen ali who later got wicket of Kohli as well. Kohli made 30 but the strike rate was below 100. Lomror was the highest scorer from RCB with 42. Because of him and efforts made by Karthik, Bangalore set competitive total of 173. Theekshana took 3 wickets and Jadeja gave only 20 runs in four over.

2nd innings :

Chennai also begun well, both of their openers were running at good strike rate but after powerplay, their wickets started to fall. Devon Conway scored another fifty but because of falling wickets at regular intervals, Chennai lost the game by 13 runs in the end. Maxwell took 2 wickets and was economical but Harshal Patel won the man of the match award, who took 3 wickets in 4 overs. Bangalore reached in top four after this win whereas Chennai remained on 9th position. Faf Duplesis said "we definitely needed that. We put up an decent total. We are moving in the right direction. We have been very good in the bowling department. "
