Third team out of the qualifying race, Kolkata got beaten by KL Rahul's team

As the playoffs are coming closer, the numbers of teams in qualifying race is reducing. After Chennai and Mumbai, now Kolkata is out of qualifying race. Chennai and Kolkata can only qualify, if some calculations work for them.

1st innings :

Shreyas Iyer won the toss and asked KL Rahul to bat first. Captain(Rahul) got out by captain(Iyer) because of run out in the first over. Quinten De Cock and Hooda played brilliant innings. Quinten hit 50 just off 29 balls. After their wickets, Stoinis played quick innings of 28 and Lucknow set the target of 177 for Kolkata. Sunil Narine was economical and also took wicket of De Cock.

2nd innings :

Before second innings, most of the people thought that it is going to be closer match. But when the innings started, all were shocked because Kolkata was losing continuous wickets. At one stage, they were 25 for 4. Russell played incredible knock but no one gave him support and Kolkata lost the match. Jason Holder and Avesh Khan took 3-3 wickets, which cause all out of Kolkata on just 107 runs.
