Race of playoffs is now more difficult for Punjab as they lost against Rajasthan Royals

In the 52nd match of ipl, Punjab got beaten by Rajasthan Royals. After winning this match, Rajasthan made their position stronger in top 4.

1st innings :

Samson won the toss and decided to bowl. Bairstow hit 50 after long time and was the highest scorer from Punjab with 56 runs. Rajapaksa and Jitesh Sharma played small but effective innings. Punjab set the good total of 189. Chahal took three wickets and gave 28 runs in 4 overs. Ashwin and Prasidh Krishna both  took 1-1 wicket but were very expensive.

2nd innings :

To chase the target of 190,Rajasthan begun well but Jos Buttler gone after making 30 runs in 16 deliveries. Yashasvi Jaiswal scored brilliant 68 and got out on the bowl of Arshdeep Singh. Only 11 runs were remaining in last two overs when Arshdeep bowled the penultimate over and gave just 3 runs. In the last over, Hetmyer easily made 8 runs and ended the things brilliantly. This lose cause the 7th position of Punjab.
