IPL:Hardik Pandya's team lost again, this time from Rohit Sharma's team
In the 51st ipl match, Gujarat got beaten by Mumbai. Although Mumbai is out of the tournament but they can spoil other's party. They stopped Gujarat to qualify in last night's match even though Gujarat will get other chances.
1st innings :
Hardik Pandya won the toss and opted to field like others. Mumbai got brilliant start as their both openers scored runs over 40 with good strike rate. Rashid Khan opened the wicket column by taking wicket of Rohit and Mumbai begun to lose consecutive wickets. Tim David showed his ability again and made unbeaten 44 in just 21 balls by hitting 2 fours and 4 sixes in his innings. This helped Mumbai to set a good total of 177. Rashid Khan took 2 wickets and gave just 24 runs in his 4 overs.
2nd innings :
Gujarat also started well, actually they got better start than Mumbai because their both openers scored fifties. Saha made 55 of 40 balls, which was the highest individual score of the match. Shubman Gill also made 52 but after losing their openers, no one stayed for long time. In the last over, Gujarat needed only 9 runs and Tewatia and Miller were on crease. Rohit gave ball to Daniel Sams and all people thought that Mumbai is going to lose again but Sams defended 9 runs and Mumbai won the game by 5 runs. Bumrah was quite expensive, who gave 48 runs at economy of 12.
Rohit Sharma said "It was pretty tight towards the back end. Very satisfying, something we were looking for all this while. Credit to everyone. We were 15-20 runs short. Tim David finished things really well. Daniel Sams was brilliant."
