IPL:Kolkata still alive
In do or die match, Kolkata beat Rajsthan. If they lose any of their upcoming match, they won't qualify for the eliminators.
1st innings :
Shreyas Iyer won the toss and opted to field first. Rajasthan begun slow and lost early wicket of Paddikal. Jos Buttler stayed till 9th over when Southee got his wicket. Samson was the highest scorer with 54 runs from Rajasthan but played very slow and took 49 balls. In the end, Hetmyer played crucial knock, which helped Rajasthan to reach at 152. Apart from Southee, all bowlers were economical.
2nd innings :
Kolkata did not started well and lost 2 wickets in powerplay. Then the captain led from front and played impressive innings. He got out in 13th over before masterclass of Rinku Singh and Niish Rana. Rinku played aggressively and Rana also helped Kolkata to chase the target down in 19.1 overs. Shreyas Iyer said "Right from the powerplay when our bowler conceded just 36 runs and took a wicket, that was the start we needed. We have been talking about Umesh right from the start. He has increased his pace, bowls those hard lengths and as a captain you just have to give him the ball to deliver. I love pressure but it sweats a lot of me to build the innings in every game."
Today's question :
Who was the captain when Kolkata won their second title?
