Lucknow lost, Bangalore in 2nd qualifier
In the eliminator match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants, Kohli's team won by 14 runs. They now will face Rajasthan in 2nd qualifier.
1st innings:
KL Rahul won the toss and opted to field like others. Bangalore lost their first wicket in first over of the innings, when their captain departed on golden duck. Kohli made crucial partnership with Patidar by scoring 25. Rajat Patidar played stunning knock of 112 in just 54 deliveries. Dinesh Karthik again ended the things really well and Bangalore set massive target of 208 in front of Lucknow. Apart from Mohsin Khan, the economy of all bowlers was over 9 even Chameera's economy was above 13.
2nd innings:
Like Bangalore, Lucknow also lost first wicket in initial over of innings in the form of Quinten De Cock. Then their captain played brilliantly and made 79 before getting out by Hazlewood. Deepak Hooda scored quick 46 but it wasn't enough to win the game for Lucknow. Hazlewood took 3 wickets even though he was expensive. Lucknow ended up their first season in eliminator.
