Chennai won another game under Dhoni's captaincy, Delhi in do or die situation
Delhi now have to win all matches for qualification because they got beaten by Chennai Super Kings. Delhi is still on 5th position but their way to qualification is more difficult now.
1st innings:
Rishabh Pant won the toss and asked his ideal to bat first. Chennai again got incredible start because of century stand by their openers. Nortje took the first wicket in 11th over of Gayakwad. Shivam dube played quick innings of 32 runs. Devon Conway again played brilliantly and made 87 in 49 deliveries. The best finisher finished things really well by scoring 21 runs at the strike rate of 262. Nortje took three wickets but was very expensive in 4 overs. Chennai Super Kings set the total of massive 209 in front of Delhi Capitals.
2nd innings:
Srikar Bharat came to open with Warner and both of them lost their wickets in powerplay. Mitchell Marsh stayed with Pant for some time and both played some good shots but after their wickets, Delhi begun to struggle again. Delhi fell 91 runs short from the score of Chennai. All of Chennai bowlers took wickets, Moeen Ali was the most successful with 3 wickets and gave just 13 runs in his four overs.
