Lucknow confirmed their position in qualifiers, Kolkata played their last match of this season

In a high scoring and close encounter, Lucknow beat Kolkata and qualified for the eliminators. Kolkata needed this match to win to keep their hopes alive but they were unable to do it.
1st innings:
KL Rahul won the toss and opted to bat first. After that, he showed that his decision was right because in whole innings, they were on top. Captain played impressive innings of 68 in 51balls but his opening partner, Quinten De Cock, played stunning knock of 140 in just 70 deliveries at the strike rate of 200. Apart from Sunil Narine, all bowlers were quite expensive, probably they were missing Pat Cummins. Tim Southee hit 50 in bowling and gave 57 runs in 4 overs. Russell also gave 45 runs in his 3 overs and in their 7 overs only, Kolkata conceded 102 runs.
2nd innings:
Most of the people thought that Kolkata will lose again in one sided game but they struggled and lost in a close encounter. They got very bad start because both of their openers went under 10 runs but then the captain leaded from front as Shreyas made brilliant partnership with Rana. Nitish rana scored 42 in 22 balls and Iyer made 50 in 29 balls. Sam Billings impressed by playing good innings of 36. Russell scored only 5 runs in 11 deliveries which later cost Kolkata. Rinku Singh made 40 in only 15 balls and Narine also made runs at the strike rate of 300 but they lost the match by 2 runs. Mohsin Khan took 3 wickets and was the only economical bowler, Stoinis also took 3 wickets.
Question of the day:
Against which team did Kolkata win their first title?
