Chennai out of the tournament, Mumbai won low scoring match
In the match between two most successful teams in ipl, Mumbai won the battle. It was an low scoring game and bowlers dominated in whole match. Both teams now are out of the qualifying race and they are at bottom of the table.
1st innings:
Rohit Sharma won the toss and Mumbai started with bowling. In the first over, Chennai lost two wickets and at the end of the power play, their score was 32 runs. Only Dhoni crossed the 20 run mark and Chennai played only 16 overs and got all out on 97 runs. Daniel Sams performed really well again and took three wickets. Apart from him, Riley Meredith and Kumar Kartikeya took 2-2 wickets. No one expected it to be happen with Chennai.
2nd innings:
The openers of Mumbai did not score much runs and went under powerplay. Mumbai was almost in same position because they lost 4 wickets even though they scored 36 runs. Tilak Verma played another crucial knock and with the help of small innings by Tim David and Hrithik Shokeen, Mumbai chased the target in just 15 overs with 5 wickets in hand.
