A satisfying victory for India in first ODI, brilliant start of the series

In the opening ODI of West Indies tour, India won by 3 runs and took the lead of 1-0 in the 3-match ODI series. It was a brilliant start of the series because West Indies gave tough competition to India, which was not expected by anybody.
1st innings:
India started brilliantly after losing the toss as both of the openers hit fifties, Shubhman Gill was outstanding before his run-out on 64. After the century-run opening stand, Dhawan made another big partnership with Shreyas Iyer, who scored 54 in 57 deliveries. Dhawan missed his ton just by 3 runs but his knock was really good.
Gudakesh Motie took 2 wickets and Alzari Joseph also grabbed 2 but he was expensive a bit. India did not reach at very big total, which was looking easy at one stage but the total of 308 was good enough to win the match.
2nd innings:
West Indies lost Shai Hope in 5th over before the outstanding partnership between Kyle Mayers and Shamrah Brooks. Mayers hit 75 in only 68 balls whereas Brooks departed on 46. Brandon King also hit fifty, Akeal Hosein and Romario Shepherd played crucial knocks. West Indies needed 15 from the last over but they fell 3 runs short and India clinched the game.
