Pant hit stunning century as India is in strong position
On the first day of the rescheduled test match, India did really well as they have made 338-7 on the first day.
India got good start before losing Shubhman Gill, who was playing with aggressive intent and scored 17 runs before getting out by Anderson. Before reaching at 50 runs, India lost wicket of Pujara, who was playing as an opener. At one stage, India were in deep trouble when they lost 5 wickets at only 98 runs but then Pant and Jadeja showed their masterclass.
Pant was playing aggressively and runs were flowing for India. Pant played outstanding knock of 146, his second highest in test cricket, at the strike rate of 131. Jadeja is unbeaten on 83 runs with Mohammad Shami and India have still 3 wickets in hand.
Only Anderson was impressive from England bowling, who has taken 3 wickets with the economy below 3 whereas other bowlers were too expensive.
India would look to set the good total of 400 or 450 in the first innings while England would look to take the remaining wickets quickly and stop India around 350.
