A strong comeback by Sri Lanka on day 2, dream debut for Prabath Jayasuriya
On day 2 of the second test between the Aussies and Sri Lanka, the hosts did really well with both bat and ball. Australia added only 66 runs on day 2 and got all out in the first session on 364. Smith was the top scorer from the side with 145 runs and Marnus also hit century. From Sri Lanka, the debutant, Prabath Jayasuriya was absolutely brilliant as he took 6 wickets on debut while Kasun Rajitha get 2.
Sri Lanka did not begun well as Starc took the first wicket of Nissanka. Afterwards, the Sri Lankan captain, Karunaratne took the responsibility and played an impressive knock. He made 86 and got support from Kusal Mendis, who is unbeaten on 84.
The pitch is good for batting so Sri Lanka will try to take a lead in the first innings whereas Australia will be focused on taking wickets.
