Happy birthday to captain cool, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the Indain legend
On this day in 1981, the best Indian captain of all time, outstanding wicket-keeper, MS Dhoni was born in Ranchi. He struggled a lot when he was a teenager but because of his hard work and passion, he played for India and not only played but also broke many records. He made his international debut in 2004 in a ODI against Bangladesh and played his first test against Sri Lanka in 2005 and first T20I against South Africa in 2006.
He is the only captain to win all three trophies, which include T20 world cup, ODI world cup and champions trophy. In 2007, when he captained India for the first time, no one thought that he will be the most successful Indian captain. He led the young Indian side to lift the T20 world cup and in 2011, he led India to the ODI world cup trophy after 28 years before clinching the Champions trophy in 2013. He also suffered from difficult situations as a captain like in 2007 ODI world cup but every time, he came up with new strength, new ideas.

He got retired from test cricket in 2014 because of the high workload when he played his last test against Australia. After playing his last T20 and ODI in 2019, he announced his retirement from all formats in 2020.
He is still playing in IPL and has won 4 IPL trophies as a captain for Chennai as well as two Champions league titles.
