Another day of batters, England is only 80 runs behind the score of New Zealand
In the second test match, England has showed very good batting performance after the masterclass of Kiwi batters. They have 5 wickets in hand and they are trailing by 80 runs.
They did not begun well and lost the wicket of Crawley in just second over. After that, Alex Lees and Olly Pope made a brilliant partnership. Lees made 67 runs before the incredible innings of Pope and Root. Pope fell just five runs short from the 150 mark whereas Root is unbeaten on the crease with 163 runs in 200 deliveries. He is completely dominating and not only he, Stokes was also scoring runs at very good strike rate, he scored 46 in only 33 balls. Ben Foaks is on crease with Root on 30 runs and he can produce more difficulties for the Kiwis.
New Zealand can make a comeback but they need to take the crucial wicket of Joe Root. New Zealand bowlers were not only unable to take wickets but they also were expensive. Boult has taken 3 wickets and he can play a huge role in New Zealand's comeback.
