Latest ICC test rankings: Root again on top
In team rankings, Australia is still on top followed by India on second and New Zealand on third. New Zealand is playing a series with England from which, Kiwis has lost 2 matches and it will probably cause their decline.
In case of player rankings, Joe Root again got the 1st position because of his unbelievable performance against New Zealand. He is in very good form and is continuously scoring runs. On the second position, there is an Australian batsman Marnus Labuchagne, who has 892 points (5 less than Root). He is followed by another Aussie star, former Australian captain Steve Smith with 845 points. At present, Australia is playing the ODI series against Sri Lanka but after it, they will play the 2-match test series against the same team and Australian players would have chance to climb to the first spot.
In bowling rankings, Australian captain Pat Cummins is still on top with 51 point lead from the 2nd placed Ashwin, who has 850 points. Bumrah is on 3rd position with 830 points.
At top three positions in all rounder rankings, two players are Indian. Jadeja is on top with 385 points while Ashwin is on 2nd spot. West Indian player Holder is on 3rd position with 336 points, little bit less than Ashwin.
