Another loss for India, South Africa close to series win

In the second match of T20 series, South Africa won again. They now need only a win in remaining three games to clinch the series trophy. India is playing without some big names in this series and Pant is leading the team.

1st innings:

South Africa won the toss and asked India to bat first. India started badly as they lost early wicket of Gaikwad in the beginning over. Then, Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan played crucial innings. Iyer was the top scorer from Indian side with 40 runs in 35 balls. Other batters were unable to stay for long time on crease and India was in deep trouble. In last overs, Karthik played brilliant innings of 30 and helped India to reach at the competitive total of 147. Rabada and Parnell were economical and both took 1 wicket each.

2nd innings:

Bhuvneshvar Kumar gave very good start to India by taking 3 wickets in powerplay overs. After which, South African captain led his team and got support from Klaseen. Klaseen was not looking very good in beginning but somehow he managed to stay on crease. He made stunning 81 in 46 deliveries, which also included 7 fours and 5 sixes. Bavuma made 35 and played a vital role in the chase. South Africa won the match in 18.2 overs with 4 wickets in hand.

Next T20 will be played in Vishakhapatnm on 14th of June.
