Finally, India got their first win over South Africa in 2022

In the 3rd T20I, India won the game by 48 runs. It was a must win game for India and not only it but the upcoming two T20Is will also be the must win games for Indian team because South Africa won first two T20Is and is leading the series by 2-1.

1st innings:

South Africa won the toss and opted to field first but it was not really good decision. India begun well as both of Indian openers, Kishan and Gaikwad, hit fifties at very good strike rate. India lost the first wicket in the form of Gaikwad in 10th over, when he got out after making 57 in 35 balls. Shreyas Iyer did not made any big contribution and India lost his wicket in 13th over just before losing the wicket of Ishan. Pandya made 31 in 21 deliveries and helped India to set the target of 180 runs. Dwayne Pretorius took 2 wickets and was the most economical South African bowler in that match.

2nd innings:

South Africa lost early wicket of their captain, Bavuma, and started slowly. In the last over of powerplay, they lost another wicket followed up by the wicket of Van Der Dussain in 7th over. Henrich Klaseen tried to stay on the crease but because of the pressure of continuous falling wickets, he also departed in 15th over and South Africa lost their last hope. South Africa did not play 20 overs and got all out on 131. Chahal won the man of the match award for the 3 big wickets he took. Apart from him, Harshal also preformed really well and took 4 wickets by giving 25 runs in his 3.1 overs.

India would look to make a comeback by winning the remaining games and the series whereas South Africa can afford a lose.
