Bairstow's unbelievable ton helped England to win the second test and series as well

In the second test, England won the match by 5 wickets and won the series as they are leading the 3 match series by 2-0. It was an high scoring match but surprisingly, it did not end in draw.
New Zealand made 553 in the first innings because of the masterclass of Mitchell and Blundell. England answered by scoring 539 in the first innings and Root performed again. He is in brilliant form and is making runs very quickly and consistently. He scored 176 runs and Olly Pope also played really well.
In the second innings, New Zealand begun well as Conway and Young scored fifties. After them, New Zealand lost continuous wickets and got all out on 284. They set the target of 299 as they took the small lead of 14 runs in the first innings.
England's start was not very good but the innings of Alex Lees played a crucial role in the chase. Later, Bairstow scored stunning 136 in 92 balls and Stokes also made runs with good strike rate. The English captain made unbeaten 75 in 70 deliveries and England won the match.
Bairstow became man of the match for his excellent performance and England won the series.
New Zealand made 837 runs in this match, which is on number 2 in the list of most runs scored by teams in a losing cause. In this match, both teams scored 1044 runs just by fours and sixes which is an record of scoring most runs in a test by boundaries and maximums.
